LCE, along with the Patient-Led Research Collaborative, was invited to speak on behalf of the Long COVID patient community during a digital conference that brought together experts from medical, public health, and health economics disciplines as well as representatives of patient organisations and policymakers from the European Union and the United States. In a statement during the opening of the conference on 13 December 2022, LCE called on the European Commission to create a 500 million Euro emergency fund for biomedical research and clinical trials on Long COVID and associated health conditions.
